Bath Presbyterian in Richmond County

Photo Challenge #9
Bath Presbyterian is one of the oldest churches in Richmond County. Organized in 1784, this unique, beautiful little sanctuary was built in 1836 by John Trowbridge. The community and church both got their names from the practice of wealthy planters from nearby Burke County visiting the area to bathe in the rich, pure mineral springs they found there to escape the heat and malaria filled summers at home.#capturedlightobsessions #johnkirkland
